제목 The effects of gamma irradiation on the thermal and mechanical properties of Nylon 12
초록 Nylon 12 is a member of the polyamide family with longer aliphatic chains, lower melting point and mechanical strength than Nylon 6 and Nylon 66. However, Nylon 12 generally shows excellent properties such as flexibility, rigidity, good mechanical properties, high impact resistance, good chemical resistance and thermal stability.
In this study, we present the gamma irradiation effects on Nylon 12. The gamma irradiation was carried out from 50 to 400 kGy for enhancing the various properties. The thermal properties and the mechanical properties of irradiated Nylon 12 were characterized by DSC, TGA, DMA and UTM, respectively.
