The use of sol-gel processed zinc oxide (ZnO) as an electron transport layer (ETL) in inverted organic photovoltaic cells was investigated by adjusting the precursor/solvent ratio of the precursor sol, the thickness of the ZnO film was optimized at 25 mm, and its effect on the photovoltaic performance was evaluated. Futhermore we investigated the effect of sulfur doping of ZnO on the power conversion efficency (PCE) of the cells. The inverted organic photovoltaic cell fabricated with sulfur doped ZnO film showed PCE of 4.16%, which is an enchancement of 8% relative to the cell with undoped ZnO film (PCE=3.85%). |
