제목 Modular Synthesis of Fluorescent Polymer Nanoparticles from Poly(Pentafluorophenylmethacrylate)
초록 Highly fluorescent nanoparticles are utilized extensively in a wide range of applications. One of the most predominant approaches for synthesizing fluorescent nanoparticles involve nanoprecipitation of fluorescent polymers. However, the synthesis of the fluorescent monomers and the subsequent polymerization is often cumbersome and require careful optimization and the modification of pre-formed nanostructures limits its incorporation to the surface, exposing the compounds to the external environment. Herein, we demonstrated a simple approach to prepare fluorescent polymer nanoparticles with desired emission color by modifying poly(pentafluorophenylmethacrylate) (poly(PFPMA)) with commercial dyes and subsequently nanoprecipitating the material in THF/water mixtures. The size and shape were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and the emission properties are studied with UV-Vis and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy.
