Small intestinal submucosa(SIS) is an acellular tissue and a naturally derived biomaterial isolated from the small intestine of pigs and has many growth factors to proliferate the cell activation. Especially, it scarcely has not the immune rejection responses. Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(PLGA) is a biodegradable synthetic polymer with good biocompatibility and widely used as a biomaterial. In this study, SIS/PLGA film was fabricated using 0, 20, 40, 60, and 80wt% of SIS by the solvent evaporation method. After seeding RPEs on SIS/PLGA films, we observed adhesion, proliferation rate, expressivity(degree of expression) of RPE on 1,3,7 and 14 day using by RT-PCR, SEM, MTT array, and Immuno-fluorscence and confirmed that the results of 20wt% SIS/PLGA films had higher adhesion, proliferation rate, and expressivity than the other % of SIS. This information would contribute to design of other biomaterial/polymer hybrid films. This research was supported by WCU(R31-20029). |
