Preparation of Multifunctional Fe3O4-Polystrene/Polythiophene Core/Shell Nanoparticles |

Magnetite-Polystyrene/Polythiophene(Fe3O4-PSt/PTh, core/shell) nanoparticles were fabricated via two step synthetic methods. Hydrophobic magnetite was modified by oleic acid and capsulated in PSt particles via miniemulsion polymerization. Outer surface of shell, PTh, was polymerized by oxidation-reduction seed polymerization. Material composition and morphology was also proved by FT-IR, SEM and TEM analysis, respectively. Photoluminescence property was measured by photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL). Conductivity of Fe3O4-PSt/PTh nanoparticles was measured by 4-point probe conductivity meter. Finally, crystalline structures and magnetization hysteresis loops of Fe3O4-PSt/PTh were investigated by XRD and SQUID, respectively. |
