The Silicon (Si) is attractive anode material in the lithium-ion batteries because of its high theoretical storage capacity (4200mAh/g). However, volumetric change of Si leads to very rapid capacity decay. Therefore, Si-metal composite hollow particles were fabricated to improve these drawbacks. Firstly, mono-dispersed poly(vinylamine) hollow particles were synthesized. And then, Si was embedded into PVAm hollow particles by adjusting the swelling behaviors of PVAm. Finally, coating of metal onto the Si embedded PVAm hollow particles was carried out. The structure of composite hollow particles was confirmed by SEM and TEM, and their electrochemical properties were investigated. |
