제목 Catalytic reforming characteristics of hydrocarbons by partial oxidation over MMO catalyst
초록 Mixed metal oxide (MMO) catalysts containing Pd and Rh prepared by co-precipitation method were applied to the reforming of methane by partial oxidation. The reforming reaction of MMO catalyst was carried out at temperature range of 400-900℃ with limited oxygen supply. The conversion of methane to CO and H2 was evaluated with the output concentration of CO and was shown more than 80% at 800℃ and 1500-20,000h-1 of space velocity. Also, the catalytic reforming was performed with solid stability through more than 10 hours operation even in the presence of high concentration of SO2 contained in methane source. The catalytic activity and impurity resistance of MMO catalyst was proven to be good enough for the purpose of reforming any hydrocarbons which may contain some level of SO2.
