제목 Synthesis of CdS nanorods with Different Aspect Ratio for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution Reaction
초록 Photocatalytic hydrogen (H2) evolution has been regarded as one of the most promising approach to convert solar energy into chemical energy. Semiconductor materials have been shown a significant interest in photocatalytic H2 evolution reactions. Recently, CdS (Eg=2.4 eV) was reported to show sufficient visible-light photocatalytic hydrogen generation. It is well-known that many properties of CdS such as morphology, size, and specific surface area can affect its photocatalytic activity. Thus, controlling the shape and size of CdS is a crucial factor in a highly active photocatalyst. Here, we are proposed to synthesize the different sized CdS nanorods at different temperatures/reaction times. The performances of synthesized nanorods are evaluated by H2 evolution reaction under visible light irradiation.
