Excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) has received considerable attention due to the characteristic four level photophysical scheme incorporating the ground and excited states of two different tautomers of enol and keto forms. The large Stokes shift of photophysical property of ESIPT is exceptional feature for fluorphores. This can be avoided the self-absorption or the inner filter effect and can be improved with this kind of fluorophores. Based on the photophysical propertirs ESIPT is used as molecular probes, luminescent materials, and molecular logic gates, etc. Here, we report the enhanced photoluminescence of a quinoline derivative for possible use in the field of immunofluorescence labeling. |
