제목 Synthesis of Gold-deposited Polystyrene Bead via a Redox System
초록 A noble method for the synthesis of gold-deposited polystyrene (PS) composites is presented. The polystyrene bead is prepared by the dispersion polymerization using poly (N-vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) stabilizer. The polystyrene bead produced was 2-4㎛ in diameter size. For the metal deposition on the PS bead, the surface of PS beads was sulfonated using ClSO3H, and then precursor solution of gold was immersed and finally metallized by chemical reduction process. In the metallization process, Au-phenanthroline precursor solution was used. The effect of reduction agents was studied in our system. SEM and XPS were employed to monitor the gold loading. The conductivity change of PS bead upon gold loading was measured by 4-probe methods.
