제목 Synthesis and Characterization of polystyrene-polyisoprene-polymethylmetacrylate triblock copolymers
초록 Microphase separated ABC triblock copolymers are well-known for their rich morphological diversity due to their larger number of independent compositional and segmental interaction parameters as compared to diblock copolymers. Compared to diblock copolymers, it is not easy to obtain pure triblock copolymers because of their synthetic difficulties and homo-polymer and/or diblock copolymer precursors coexist. In this study, we prepared polystyrene-b-polyisoprene-b-poly(methylmethacrylate) (SIM) triblock copolymers by sequential anionic polymerization and living radical polymerization (ATRP). Homo-polystyrene and SI diblock copolymer precursors were removed by interaction chromatography which is able to fractionate the relatively broad PMMA block as well. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) has been used to characterize bulk morphologies of precursor free triblock copolymers.
