IPMC (Ionic polymer-metal composite) is composed of metal electrode covering ionomeric polymer, which commonly uses commercial Nafion membrane. Most commonly used, Nafion has excellent chemical and physical stability, but also has regulated membrane actuator. On purpose to develop high force-generating ionomeric polymer actuator, we fabricated crosslinked sulfonated poly( ether ether ketone)(SPEEK) membrane for replacement of Nafion membrane. By introducing crosslinking reaction, we obtained SPEEK with enhanced membrane property, which is suitable for IPMC actuator. |
