The interactions of modified PPO(polyphenylene oxide/polystyrene) including various waxes, silicone and melamine with 1,4-diaminoanthraquinone as dye were studied by an equilibrium method at various temperatures. From the results, the first binding constants(K1) and the thermodynamic parameters for these binding systems were calculated. A dye can generally be described as a colored substance. It has an affinity for the substrate to which it is being applied. The dye is usually used as an aqueous and may require a mordant to improve the fastness of the dye on the fiber. In contrast, a pigment generally has no affinity for the substrate, and is insoluble. Also, an ability of absorption is multiple affected by binding factors. There are many binding factors about absorption. Ionic bond, hydrogen bond, covalent bond, hydrophobic and hydrophilic interaction of the substrate with the dye. |
