제목 Development of Polysulfone based Mixed Matrix Membrane for Effective CO2 Separation
초록 Zeolitic imidazole framework 8 (ZIF-8) and amine-functionalized ZIF-8 (ZIF8-A) with 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole were prepared and used as inorganic fillers in the polyethylene glycol (PEG) grafted polysulfone (PSF) matrices (PSF-g-PEG) to fabricate mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) (ZIF-8/PSF-g-PEG and ZIF8-A/PSF-g-PEG). Incorporated ZIF-8 or ZIF8-A particles (20 wt%) in MMM were well-dispersed and adhered into the PSF-g-PEG matrices in comparison to those of the pristine PSF. Gas permeation properties with the prepared membranes were measured using time-lag method at 35 °C and 1 bar. For the polymer membranes, the PSF-g-PEG membrane showed almost 2 times higher gas permeability than PSF membrane alone due to the interaction of PEG chain and gases. The MMM of ZIF-8/PSF-g-PEG and ZIF8-A/PSF-g-PEG showed improved permeation properties on the gases, where the MMM with 61% of ZIF8-A showed the highest CO2 permeability with separation factors of CO2/N2 and CO2/CH4.
