Cross-linkable precursor (St-90R4) was synthesized from terminal group reaction of poly (ethylene oxide)-block-poly (propylene oxide) (PEO-PPO) tetra block copolymer (ethylene diamine tetrakis (ethoxylate-block-propoxylate) tetrol, Tetronic 90R4) with 4-vinylbenzyl chloride (VBC). Ion gels with crosslinked structure were obtained through thermal curing process of St-90R4 with divinyl benzene (DVB), styrene, ionic liquid (1-ethyl-3-methyl imidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl) imide, EMIM TFSI), and radical initiator. Then the ion gels were used both as the solid electrolyte and electrode binder to achieve excellent electrode-electrolyte interface for all solid state supercapacitor. The electrochemical properties of the supercapacitor using the prepared ion gels were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and charge-discharge test. |
