제목 Silver embedded Polymer nanofibers as antibacterial agents
초록 Silver embedded Polymer nanofibers were fabricated by using seeded polymerization. In the procedure of seeded polymerization, silver nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical reduction method at first, then silver nanoparticles were used as seed during polymerization. At the end of polymerization, we could observe silver embedded polymer nanofibers through TEM and SEM. The synthesized silver embedded Polymer nanofibers were tested for antibacterial agents. The test was conducted on Gram-negative bacterium E. coli. In comparison with silver/polymer film composites and silver nanoparticles, silver/polymer nanofibers had excellent antibacterial effect. The characterization of silver nanoparticles and silver embedded polymer nanofibers will be performed and their quantitative/qualitative analysis will be discussed.
