Synthesis and Physical Property of Polyurethane based Antifouling Paint Resin |
초록 |
Antifouling paints have been used to prevent attaching of marine organisms which make the ships spend more fuel on plying by increasing weight of ship hulls. There are many types of antifouling paints. Among these several types, we had been studied traditional acrylate copolymer type which can be self-polished in sea water. And we have been studied polyurethane(PU) resins which is considered to be applied as a new type of antifouling paint matrix. In this study, PU resins were synthesized by polyethylene glycol(PEG), poly(tetramethylene adipate) glycol(PTAd), 4,4’-diphenylmethane diisocyanate(MDI), 2,2’-bis(hydroxyl methyl)-propionic acid(DMPA) and various quaternary ammonium salts(QAS). And the physical self-polishing properties of PU resins were tested by the measurement of reduced film thickness in sea water. |
