제목 | Stabilization of resveratrol by crystallizing on the monodisperse cyano-functionalized porous polymeric microspheres |
초록 | Resveratrol, a polyphenolic compound found in grapes, has attracted great attentions due to their anti-oxidizing effect, anti-inflammatory and chemo-protective advantage against cancer proliferation.1,2 However, the resveratrol has some drawbacks for a commercialization: a small quantity in the plant, difficult to extract and stabilize in the atmosphere, easy to destruct by sunlight. In this work, the stabilization of resveratrol was carried out on the porous polymer particles for the long-term storage as shown in Figure 1(a). Figure 1(b) exhibits the SEM image of the monodisperse, cyano-functionalized porous poly(St-co-DVB-co-AN) microspheres prepared by seeded polymerization in the presence of toluene as a porogen. The resveratrol was crystallized on the porous polymeric microspheres during the adsorption process as shown in Figure 1(c) since hydrogen bonding between hydroxyl groups of reveratrol and cyano groups of porous particles were created. According to the porosity and the crosslinking degree of porous polymeric microspheres, the stability of adsorbed resveratrol were investigated. In addition, the contents and the crystallinity of resveratrol adsorbed on the porous particles were examined by utilizing a high performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC) and a X-ray diffraction (XRD), respectively.
