The influence of reaction conditions on recovery of amorphous sodium alumino silicate from the waste products of fertilizer industry |
초록 |
In attempt to develop materials with the desired properties for paint and paper industries, a systematic study was conducted on the synthesis of amorphous sodium alumino silicate (ASAS) from waste material (H2SiF6) of phosphate fertilizer industry under the controlled reaction conditions. The waste material was used as the acid precursor in the synthesis of ASAS composite which can be controlled to develop pigments that are useful in a wide range of applications. The samples were characterized by FE_SEM, EDS, FTIR, XRD and Nitrogen adsorption instrument. The products obtained are expected to be a potential low-cost alternative as functional fillers, as TiO2 extenders, as silica extenders or as reinforcing agents for paper, paint, rubber, plastics and adhesive. |
