Fine dust caused by NOx, SOx, CO, particulate matters has become serious environmental pollution such as smog, ozone layer destruction, and global warming. Selective catalytic reduction is one of the most representative methods of elimination to NOx. Commercially, V2O5-WO3/TiO2 is used to SCR catalyst and this catalyst is usually synthesized by impregnation method. Although this method can easily synthesize V and W oxides, it is difficult to control the particle size, which is important factor to SCR performance. In this study, we synthesized V2O5-WO3/TiO2 by using the polyol method. Catalysts synthesized by polyol method have a higher specific area and NOx removal efficiency than catalysts synthesized by impregnation method. Synthesized catalysts are characterized by SEM, TEM, XRD, NH3-TPD and H2-TPR and their catalytic performance were evaluated through fixed bed reactor. |
