제목 Semi-Interpenetrating polymer network membrane composed of acrylamide and sulfonated PPO for DMFC application
초록 Engineering polymer poly(p-phenylene oxide) has high thermal stability and excellent mechanical properties. Linear polymer of highly sulfonated PPO (sPPO) was synthesized according to post-sulfonation method which utilizes trimethylsilyl chlorosulfonated (TMSCS) as sulfonic agent. For network polymer, N-Isopropylacrylamide(NIPAAM), N-tert-butylacrylamide(TBA) and N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide is used. Because of its hydrolysis resistance and cross-linkable, acrylamide type monomer is selected. Also NIPAAM and TBA has LCST(lower critical solution temperature) which show reversible change between hyrdophilic and hydrophobic with temperature. Use this property, we control the membrane properties by change monomer contents. Acrylamide monomer was polymerized by UV. The membrane was studied by ion exchange capacity (IEC), water uptake, proton conductivity and methanol permeability.
