Influence of Additives on Properties of PVDF Coating Layer |

Mechanical and tribological properties of polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF) solid film lubricants which have lubrication additives were analysed. PVDF powder and additives were mixed in various weight ratio. Dissolution of PVDF powder and dispersion of additives were carried out at once by ultrasonication in NMP for 10 hours. PVDF composite solid film lubricant was coated on carbon steel substrates by dip coating process. PVDF solid film lubricants which have lubrication additives were investigated by FE-SEM image, XRD, friction test, adhesion test, scratch test, tensile strength measurement as International Organization for Standardization test method. |
