제목 Effect of Post-crosslinking on the Soft segments of Styrene Block Copolymer based Rubber with Improved Capacitive Sensor Performance
초록 Styrene-butadiene-styrene(SBS) block copolymer have high elasticity and less modulus due to the existence of two segments, hard styrene segment and soft butadiene segment. Though this material can be used as a blending component with polyurethane(PU) for capacitive sensor applications, its electrical hysteresis is very high due to its higher elasticity and lesser modulus which is not suitable for use as capacitive sensor. A change in the SBS/PU composition ratio or using different solvent mixtures has been reported to make only insignificant changes in its electrical hysteresis. In the present study, we attempted to use dicumyl peroxide (DCP) of varying amount (1 to 4 wt.-%) as a cross-linking agent in the PU/SBS electrospinning solution. Thermal annealing of the electrospun nanoweb at 100 oC for 10 h resulted in the initiation of post cross-linking of the soft butadiene segment in the electrospun nanoweb by the CP radical.
