Preparation of Silver Nanomaterials through Electron Beam Irradiation |

Silver nanomaterials posess unique optical, electrical, and catalytic properties, which are strongly dependent on the size and shape of the materials. Therefore, large-scale synthesis of uniform nanomaterials have become a new and interesting research focus. In this study, size and shape-controlled synthesis of silver nanomaterials performed through electron beam irradiation of silver alkanethiolates. We found that the size and shape of the silver nanomaterials can be controlled by adjusting the accelerating voltage of the electron beam in the Korea atomic energy research institute. The sizes and shapes of the nanomaterials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and UV/Vis spectroscopy. The detail results will be given in the meeting. |
