In recent years, there have been intensive researches on the size- and/or shape- controlled synthesis of metal nano-/micro- crystals because of their unique catalytic, electronic, optical and physicochemical properties. Herein, we report a facile method to synthesize ~100 nm sized biocompatible gold particles using thermal reduction of gold salt(HAuCl4·3H2O) with H2O, Pluronic P123 block copolymer and sodium chloride. The morphology changes of gold crystals from varying some experimental parameters (concentration, temperature, reaction time, etc) are investigated by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV-Vis spectroscopy, etc. |
