Hybrid materials offer potential possibilities not only to combine the important properties from both worlds but to make completely new compositions with truly unique properties. Bridged polysilsesquioxanes (BPSs) are a class of hybrid materials synthesised by sol-gel processing of silane monomer containing bridging groups such as organic functional groups. Recently, functional BPSs have been used as high-capacity absorbents. But, general BPS monomers have non-biodegradable properties, which are difficult to use for drug delivery systems. In this work, we fabricated and characterised a new type of biodegradable BPS by FT-IR, NMR and SEM. In addition, these biodegradable BPSs are highly promising as drug delivery carriers for several therapy. 2015년 한국교통대학교 지원을 받아 수행하였음. |
