제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Polymer Hybrids from Octa[(trimethoxysilyl)ethyl]-POSS and Poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) Utilizing the Sol-Gel Reaction.
초록 Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) with the combined organic/inorganic properties have attracted considerable attention in the field of organic/inorganic hybrid materials over the past decades. Organic-inorganic hybrid materials are generally prepared through the sol-gel processing. Recently, various POSS with the caged-structure were synthesized by the hydrolysis and condensation reaction of silane compounds. The sol-gel reaction which is one of the most effective methods to prepare the hybrid materials has been widely used so far because of the condition of ambient temperature and high uniformity of organic parts in the silica matrix. In this study, polymer hybrids were prepared by octa[(trimethoxysilyl)ethyl]-POSS and poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone)(PVP) using hydrogen bonding interaction. The composition, structure and thermal properties of polymer hybrids were characterized by various analytical tools.
