In this study, we propose thermosensitive bio-injectable hydrogel that functions as an anti-adhesion agent. Two biocompatible polymers, bacterial cellulose (BC) and pluronic F-127 were utilized to fabricate hydrogel thermo-dependent reversible sol-gel transition. The addition of BC to F-127 molecules assisted inter-micellar packing into the hydrogel inner structure, thus enhancing mechanical strength of the hydrogel. To investigate mechanical properties of BC/F-127 hydrogel, we measured the critical gelation temperature value, which is considerably lower than that of native pluronic F-127. Furthermore, poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) chains, which induce steric effect, were grafted to BC for anti-adhesion application. Finally, we expect that this PEG grafted-hydrogel structures have potentials to be used as biomedical materials. |
