Recently, the complex formulation of two drugs is being actively. In this study, Irbesartan (IR) and Hydrochlorothiazide (HY) were prepared complex formulation. IR was the immediate layer, and HY was the sustained release layer. IR was prepared a solid dispersion by spray drying. HY had a short half-time. Thereby, it was prepared sustain release polymers by physical mixture method. Characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). In vitro release behavior of microspheres presented at simulated simulated intestinal fluid (pH 6.8). The reverse phase-high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) was conducted to confirm the dissolution behavior of the complex tablets.
