Surface gloss is determined by the specimen refractive index and the degree of surface roughness. So, to control surface gloss, we changed the surface properties of films by introducing polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) at the end of main chain to migrate toward the surface easily. To clarify change of surface properties, we measured refractive index and surface topology of films by Abbe Refractometer and AFM. And also, through the measurement of UTM and DMTA, we studied the change of thermal, mechanical properties by introducing PDMS. It was found that PDMS gave decreased refractive index and increased surface roughness. As a result surface gloss of films has been controlled by changing surface properties. |
