제목 Thermal Stability of Glass fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composites for Insulation Applications
초록 Glass fiber reinforced epoxy composites were used for insulation cover parts. In this work, the thermal stability of glass fiber reinforced epoxy composites was studied by aging test. Matrix and reinforcing fiber were investigated after thermal aging with different temperatures and time. The damage mechanism of thermal aging was evaluated by FE-SEM and reflection microscopy. The interfacial property between glass fiber and epoxy resin after thermal aging was measured by contact angle measurements and micromechanical tests. Mechanical and thermal properties were getting worse by thermal aging. Ultimately, these results could be used to improve for the insulation part of composites.
