제목 | Heparinized Chitosan-Pluronic® Hydrogel with Thermosensitivity for Controlled Growth Factor Delivery |
초록 | It has been reported that the growth factor plays a critical role as an induction agent of some important mediators for tissue regeneration. A number of growth factors specifically bind to heparin with a high affinity, and both its mitogenic activity and biological stability are modulated by heparin. Heparin also protects growth factors from inactivation and degradation by some external stimuli. Therefore, heparin-containing biomaterials have a lot of potential as the controlled delivery vehicle for the growth factors with the useful bioactivities. In our previous study, a thermosensitive Pluronic® grafted chitosan (chitosan-Pluronic®) as an injectable hydrogel has been deveoloped. In this study, heparinized chitosan-Pluronic® as an injectable hydrogel has been prepared for the long-term controlled release of heparin-binding growth factors. Chitosan-Pluronic®-heparin complex has demonstrated the sol-gel transition behavior, the enhanced gel stability and growth factor affinity. This novel thermosensitive hydrogel would be very effective for growth factor delivery as well as cell-supporting scaffold for tissue regeneration. |
