Hyaluronate-based hydrogels as a scaffold for tissue regeneration |
초록 |
Hyaluronate is an attractive scaffolding material in many tissue engineering applications because of its low toxic and biocompatible properties. However, their applications are often limited due to low mechanical properties of the scaffolds. Chemical cross-linkers are typically used to improve the mechanical properties of hyaluronate-based scaffolds. However, chemical cross-linkers may induce the toxic side effects. We thus designed and fabricated hyaluronate scaffolds that form gels in situ in the presence of chitosan without using chemical cross-linking molecules. Hydrogels were formed by simply mixing each solution in physiological conditions. Various chemical and biological tests were performed to evaluate the efficacy of hyaluronate-based hydrogels as tissue engineering scaffolds. |
