In this study, white LEDs were fabricated by combining the 380 nm UV LEDs with the composite of blue-emitting copolymer (Poly[(9,9-dihexylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl)-alt-co-(2-methoxy-5-{2-ethylhexyloxy}-1,4-phenylene)], BEP), yellow green-emitting copolymer (Poly[(9,9-dioctylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl)-co-(1,4-benzo-{2,1’,3}-thiadiazole)], GEP), and red-emitting CdSe/ZnS QDs as hybrid phosphors. The precursor of CdSe/ZnS QDs were CdO, Se, diethylzinc, and hexamethyldisilathiane.White LEDs were fabricated by thetwo differentways. Onewas precoating the phosphorsin the order ofred, green and blue, and the other was precoating the phosphorsin the order ofcopolymers and QDs.In addition, the properties of fabricated white LEDs were characterized by measurements of the CIE-1931 chromaticity coordinates, color temperature, luminous efficacy, and CRI of the devices. |
