제목 | Thermomechanical Properties of Hybrid Composite PMMA Bone Cements Impregnated with UHMWPE Powers Surface-modified by Using Three Kinds of Method |
초록 | We used the three kinds of method, including methylmethacrylate (MMA)/xylene solution, MMA/polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) mixture, and MMA/N, N-dimethyl-p-toluidine (DMPT) solution, to modify the surface of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) powder. From our study, it was found that the tensile strengths of the hybrid composite PMMA bone cements fabricated on the three kinds of method was similar to that of conventional PMMA bone cement, as shown in Figure 1 (a), (b), and (c). Also, the curing temperatures of the hybrid composite PMMA bone cements decreased slightly, as shown in Figure 2 (a), (b), and (c).
