MWNTs are of scientific interest in nanotechnology and nano-devices because of their superior structural, mechanical, chemical, and electrical performance. However, the surfaces of MWNTs don’t have enough adhesion with polymer matrix in polymer composites, resulting in the phase separation between MWNTs and polymers or self-agglomeration of MWNTs. In this work, we prepared MWNTs/UP nanocomposites in order to obtain good wear resistance. To solve the adhesion problem, we used a series of corona treatments on MWNTs. The effects of this treatment on the surface properties and dispersion behaviors of the MWNTs in the polymeric matrix were also investigated. |
