제목 Influence of intrinsic halides on formation of Pt nanoparticles
초록 Platinum precursors to synthesize nanoparticles often contain halide ions. The halide ions influence many steps in in the formation of platinum nanoparticles e.g. reduction of precursor, nucleation, and particle growth. X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) enables to measure the oxidation of state of platinum precursor. Measurment of the oxidation states of platinum precursor via in-situ XAS enabled to determine the rate of reduction quantitatively. The relationship between enthalpy of formation of precursor and the reduction kinetics of platinum precursors has been established. The role of halide ions in the nucleation and growth of platinum nanoparticles was examined through TEM techniques.
