Stimuli rensponsive and self-healing materials have much attension due to creating artificial muscles and improving durability. To create self-healing materials, our research focuses on the formation of supramolecular materials through host-guest interactions, which is a powerful method to create nonconventional materials. Herein we report the formation of supramolecular hydrogels and their stimuli-responsive1 and self-healing2,3 properties due to host-guest interactions. We employ cyclodextrin (CD) as a host molecule because it is environmentally benign and has diverse applications. The obtained supramolecular hydrogel showed light1,4 and redox2,5 responsive properties.1,4,5 1) S. Tamesue, et.al. Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 49, 7461 (2010). 2) M. Nakahata, et.al. Nat.
