In this work, the azido-thermoplastic polyurethane(Azido-TPUs) polymers which could be easily multi-functionalized via azide-alkyne click reation were synthesized from the condensation polymerization of poly(GAP-co-THF)diols, 1,4-butandiol, methylene diphenyl diisocyanate(MDI) at 16, 22, 24 mol% hard segment system. Also, Poly(GAP-co-THF)diols were synthesized by azidation of poly(ECH-co-THF)diols at 40/60 mol ratio of [GAP]/[THF]. The synthesized azido-TPUs which have seperated hard segment system exhibited well-defined mechnical properties like unique thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer properties. Azido-TPUs and their precursors poly(GAP-co-THF)diols were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonane(NMR), size exclusion chromatography(SEC), fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR). Mechanical properties of these polymers were determined by universial testing machine(UTM). |
