제목 Preparation of Si-conjugated crosslinkable polyurethane for LIB binder
초록 The silicone has been received many attentions because higher capacity for Lithium ion battery than general graphite electrode. Despite of these advantages, the silicon could be used in practical applications because the volumetric change of the material induced the lower retention of LIB. Meanwhile, although thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) has been many attained because of their great flexibility and processibility, there are some limitations because the TPU do not contain specific functional groups for further reactions. Herein, we prepared the Si-conjugated crosslinkable TPU for LIB binder. The Si-TPU was synthesized from azido-TPU using azide-alkyne click reaction, and the crosslinkability was introduced using urethane condensation reaction of 2-Hydroxyethyl methacrylate. The great mechanical property of TPU and the conjugation of Si on the polymer restrained the volumetric change of the silicon, and then, the properties of LIB can be enhanced.
