N-chloro hydantoin thermoplastic polyurethane fiber is prepared by azide-alkyne click reaction for the decontamination of chemical warfare agents. Azido-polyurethane was synthesized using azido-polydiol with isocyanate and chain extender via step polymerization, followed by electrospinning and chlorination to obtain the protective fiber. Hydantoin was introduced easily into the polyurethane fiber via surface treatment. This N-chlorinated hydantoin polyurethane fiber is an active for 2-chloroethyl ethyl sulfide (2-CEES) and it has a good decomposition efficiency. To increase the mechanical property while maintain the decomposition effect, normal TPU is blended with azido-polyurethane. The normal TPU means general TPU without azido group. So, in this study, N-chloro hydantoin polyurethane fiber is fabricated and it is blended with normal TPU to improve mechanical property with maintain high decomposition efficiency. |
