In this study, we used a chemical reduction method with changing the solvent to identify the tendency of silver nanoparticles formation on conductive stretchable fibers. As the solvent, hydroxyl group solvents such as methanol, ethanol, IPA, butanol having different molecular weights were used. It was expected that the silver nanoparticles are formed differently inside and outside the fiber due to the difference in the molecular weight of the solvent. The silver nanoparticles were made to be formed on the outside of the fiber so that the inside regions are maintained the polymer properties. As a result, when the butanol solvent having the largest molecular weight was used, Ag rich shells were most abundantly formed on the outside of the fiber, and shown polymeric characteristic, maintaining good conductivity under high tensile strain. |
