제목 Calcium peroxide-mediated surface modifications for the non-fouling substrates
초록 The mussel-derived adhesive molecules have been widely used for surface modifications of various biomaterials because of their strong adhesion on versatile substrates. However, it still challenging to enhance coating efficiency of the adhesive molecules owing to its insufficient oxidation by lack of oxygen (O2) during the coating procedure. Herein, we present a facile surface modification of biopolymers with dopamine and calcium peroxide (CaO2), which promote the coating efficiency of dopamine by O2 supply. Utilizing this system, we fabricate PEGylated surfaces to create non-fouling substrates, resulting in low cell attachment (5.26~9.65 %, compared to controls). In sum, our approach holds great potential as an advanced surface modification technique for a wide range of biomedical applications.
