제목 Gold nanoparticle-based SERS probes for cancer diagnosis and therapy
초록 Highly sensitive optical imaging technology using metal nanoparticles has been extensively applied to cellular imaging and biomedical diagnostics. Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) as the inelastic light scattering of gold or silver nanoparticles is emerging as a powerful alternative for identifying specific biological targets in live cells. In this study, we synthesized a novel gold nanoparticle-based SERS probes. Photosensitizer (PS) was introduced to the gold nanoparticle-based SERS probes as a Raman reporter for cancer diagnosis and therapy. The optical property and morphology of HA-based gold nanochains were investigated. In vitro tests using HeLa cells indicated that the gold nanoparticle-based SERS probes exhibited excellent cellular localization and killed HeLa cells effectively compare to free PS under laser radiation.
