In recent years, conjugated polymer nanospheres are highly variable nano-structured materials that can be potentially used in many applications in various areas such as materials science and biological systems. These conjugated polymer nanospheres exhibit desirable characteristics for cellular imaging, including a high fluorescence quantum yield, good photostability, and a small size. Herein, we synthesized conjugated polymers using monomers of 4-(bis(4-bromophenyl)amino)benzaldehyde, 9,9-dioctylfluorene-2,7-diboronic acid bis(1,3-propanediol)ester, and 9,9-dioctyl-2,7-dibromofluorene. Subsequently, we have prepared conjugated polymer nanospheres containing aldehyde group by a reprecipitation method. As a result, we confirmed a formation of nanospheres by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) and analyzed optical properties of conjugated polymer nanospheres using PL and UV spectroscopy. |
