Solution-Phase Synthesis of Au Nanofibers using Binary Surfactants as the Soft Template and Controllable Growth of Aucore-Ptshell Nanofibers |

Anisotropic gold nanostructures, especially gold nanofibers, have recently received tremendous attention due to their unique optical properties which could be employed in a wide variety of applications. Herein, we show the fabrication of Anisotropic Au Nanofibers via a solution-phase synthetic method. Mixture of aqueous cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and Brij35 surfactants forms rod-shaped micelles and becomes a key shape directing factor to induce one-dimensional growth of Au structures. Additionally Au nanofibers were synthesized to Aucore-Ptshell nanostructures. It is expected that Aucore-Ptshell nanofibers offer a great prominence in a variety of catalytic applications. |
