Graphene nanoplatelets(GNPs) are a type of graphitic nanofillers composed of stacked 2D graphene sheets, having outstanding electrical, thermal and mechanical properties. Polyacrylonitrile(PAN) is an appealing polymer because of its distinctive ability to form long conjugated imine chains via polymerization nitrile groups. This polymerization process takes place by heating above 180℃, to form a ladder polymer. Ethylene carbonate is plasticizer which is capable of forming strong dipolar interactions with nitrile group of the polymer. Because of strong dipolar interactions between the nitrile groups of PAN and the carbonyl(-C=O) groups of the plasticizer. it indirectly reveals electric interaction between -electrons of the unfilled PAN fiber. The electrospun PAN/EC composite fibers with 0, 0.05, 0.1 and 0.5 wt% of graphene nanoplatelets were prepared. The electrochemical properties were also evaluated by cyclic voltametry, charge-discharge, and ac impedance. |
