제목 Techno-economic analysis of novel polygeneration process of liquefied hydrogen and ethylene through oxidative coupling of methane
초록 The direct methane conversion process has recently been attracted as an eco-friendly and alternative way for ethylene and liquefied hydrogen product from versatile natural gas. In this study, we proposed a new polygeneration process of liquefied hydrogen and ethylene by oxidative coupling of methane. The process configuration contains OCM reaction stage and complex separation stage including pressure swing adsorption, demethanizer, carbon capture unit, and liquefaction process. The proposed process was simulated using Aspen Plus V.12 software, and the mass and energy flows, sizing, and costing data were obtained for the further analysis of carbon and energy efficiency, unit production cost, and environmental impact. As a result, it was revealed that the proposed process can adjust the production rate of both products, thereby maintaining a high business profit through market-responsive operation. Moreover, the sensitivity and extended analysis were performed that expects to suggest strategy solutions to solve the current problems in liquefied hydrogen and ethylene production process with reasonable price or more eco-friendliness.
