Fabrication of Nano-Porous Polymer Coated Tip for Bacteria Patterning |

Dip-Pen Nanolithography (DPN) is a direct-write lithography technique that use chemically modified AFM tips to pattern materials on a variety of substrates at nanoscale. This technology has led to a various applications in electronic devices and biological sensors. One can use this sponge-like tip to generate nanoarrays of a high molecular weight biomolecules in combination with the DPN technique with a high speed at ambient conditions by a physical stamping manner. In this work, we report a nanoporous polymer-coated tip fabricated by ring opening polymerization of 2-methyl-2-oxazoline(POZO) on the tip surface. Furthermore, we will show how to use this POZO-coated tip to pattern a bacteria molecules. The synthesized nanoporous polymer coated tips and bacteria patterns were characterized with AFM, SEM, and fluorescent microscope. |
