Recently, many studies have been carried out to enhance dispersion properties of graphene oxide (GO) for better processability since GO exhibits relatively low dispersion properties in common organic solvents, although it can be well-dispersed in aqueous system owing to its hydrophilic nature. Among them, chemical modification to oxygen functional groups of GO is a simple route to improve dispersion properties of GO without causing any contaminations or structure deformations. In this study, we prepared polyetheramine functionalized GO, which was proved to have much enhanced dispersion properties in organic solvents as well as in water. The dispersion properties of GO and functionalized GO were discussed in detail by concentrations, zeta potentials and UV/Vis spectroscopy. |
